Be Not A Jelly of Convictions

Be Not A Jelly of Convictions

This is one of the more challenging buttons. Its greatest value perhaps lies in its potential to stimulate the formation of a mental picture of jelly, into which a cook has mixed "convictions." My best interpretation is that when more than one conviction is involved, contradictions can arise, and leave you confused, trying to serve more than one master.

(Note the illustration on the button, of a man on a pier throwing a rope to the floundering man.)
