Cabot Newsletters

Cabot publishes nine distinct newsletters, each with its own specific focus and investing discipline:

Growth Stocks
Cabot Market Letter is our flagship publication. It was founded in 1970, and is recommended for all investors seeking growth. It's published bi-weekly with weekly updates, and edited by Michael Cintolo. In each issue, you'll find a Model Portfolio (no more than 12 stocks) of our best recommendations for a diversified growth portfolio along with Cabot's proprietary Market Timing Indicators to keep you on the right side of the market. The average growth stock is held for four months; some are held for years, for others last only a few weeks. We pay particular attention to what each stock's chart is telling us, and when the chart tells us that investors are no longer supporting the stock, we sell the stock and move on.

Cabot Market Letter has been consistently recognized for outstanding performance by Hulbert Financial Digest and Timer Digest. It was named as only one of nine newsletters in Hulbert's 2010 Honor Roll for above average performance in both up and down markets since 1998, is ranked one of Hulbert's top 10 newsletters for five year performance and is ranked among the top 10 newsletters by Timer Digest for long-term performance. Emerging Markets Stocks
Cabot China & Emerging Markets Report
, published bi-weekly with weekly updates, focuses on the emerging markets economies, with special attention paid to the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) investment landscape. You'll discover the value of international diversification and the profit potential of investing in countries whose economies are growing far faster than that of the U.S. All these stocks are traded on U.S. exchanges. Like Cabot Market Letter, the stocks are selected for both their fundamental and technical characteristics, but sold mainly for technical reasons.

Cabot China & Emerging Markets Report is edited by emerging markets stock expert, Paul Goodwin. The Report was recognized as the top investment newsletter in 2006 and 2007 by Hulbert Financial Digest, and it is rated by Hulbert as one of the top investment newsletter for the past five years. Energy Stocks
Cabot Global Energy Investor, published monthly with weekly updates, capitalizes on the soaring demand for energy, steering investors to profits in the strongest energy stocks including oil, gas, coal, nuclear, solar, wind, geothermal, bio-fuel and energy conservation industries. Editor Brendan Coffey applies the same growth stock selection and market timing tools that Cabot developed and refined for over 40 years. Subscriber comments

Value Stocks
Cabot Benjamin Graham Value Letter
, published monthly with mid-month updates, uses the methods developed by the father of value investing, Benjamin Graham and used by Warren Buffet. Second-generation Ben Graham disciple J. Royden Ward is the editor. If you are looking to buy stocks that are undervalued then hold them for long-term profits, this is a great resource. A system that works well in all markets, it seeks to buy stocks when they're dirt cheap, and sell when they've reached full valuation, a process that takes two years for the average selection. What's important here is buying only when a stock's price is below its Maximum Buy Price, holding through thick and thin, regardless of the news or the action of the stock, and then selling when the stock reaches its Minimum Buy Price, or using a trailing stop in the hope that the stock will keep climbing. These are great stocks to own if you're a conservative stock investor. Subscriber comments

Small-Cap Stocks
Cabot Small-Cap Confidential
is a limited-circulation advisory for investors seeking profit opportunities in high-potential small company stocks. It is published monthly with weekly updates. Edited by small-cap expert Thomas Garrity, each newsletter includes in-depth research on one outstanding small company stock that is a pioneer in its field and is undiscovered by institutional analysts. Because the stocks recommended are often low-priced and thinly traded, circulation of Cabot Small-Cap Confidential is strictly limited to 500 subscribers. Subscriber comments

Top Ten Stocks
Designed for experienced investors, Cabot Top Ten Trader gives its subscribers the 10 strongest stocks every Monday selected by our proprietary momentum-based OptiMo software. Stock stories, technical analysis and buy ranges for each stock are included. Each Friday, editor Michael Cintolo gives an update on the Top Ten's "Movers & Shakers." When you buy one of the Cabot Top Ten Trader stocks, you've got to watch it like a hawk. If a stock rolls over, you sell it fast, recognizing that any stock that climbs fast can fall fast. But if one of these stocks brings you a nice profit, you can often do very well by averaging up on pullbacks, building a strong performer into a major part of your portfolio. Subscriber comments

We call this spectrum investing, for obvious reasons. We recommend that you buy stocks from each investment discipline, and then hold until the stock is rated sell. Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)
Cabot ETF Investing System systematically identifies sectors that are positioned to outperform the overall market, then applies a market timing component to avoid losses in bear markets. The System presents two strategies: Long-Only for conservative investors and Long & Short for more aggressive investors. The system seeks to outperform the S&P 500 by 10 percentage points a year with far less volatility.
